Welcome to
Street evangelists
uk
Street Evangelists International began in the city of Peterborough, United Kingdom, where Brother Pete first took the Gospel into the streets, walking through the city centre with Scripture boards and a burden for the lost. What began as a simple act of faithful obedience soon brought together other believers who shared the same desire to proclaim Jesus Christ, leading to the formation of Street Evangelists UK. Today, the UK remains the place where the journey began, with believers continuing to preach, distribute Gospel literature, engage people in one to one conversations and encourage others to take the Gospel into the streets.
Street Evangelists UK began with a simple burden: to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ beyond the walls of the church and into the streets, where people could hear the message of salvation.
What began as a small group of believers committed to street evangelism gradually grew into a wider ministry of preaching, personal witnessing, prayer, Gospel literature distribution and equipping other believers to become witnesses for Christ. The ministry's heart has always been to proclaim Jesus Christ and Him crucified for the forgiveness of sins, and to encourage Christians to take seriously the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to “Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.”
As the Lord opened new doors, the vision expanded beyond the United Kingdom. In July 2024, a new team was established in Kenya, followed by the development of teams in Uganda and subsequently other African nations.
What began as Street Evangelists UK has therefore grown into a much wider family of believers serving Christ across different nations. We give God all the glory for every person who has joined the work, every Gospel message preached, every Bible and tract distributed, and every life reached with the Good News.
This is only a brief introduction to our story. On the pages dedicated to our different national teams, we will briefly share how the work has developed in each country, introducing the teams, their ministry and the work God is doing through them. From the streets of the UK to the nations, for the glory of Jesus Christ.
