In the Democratic Republic of Congo, God opened a remarkable door for Street Evangelists International in March 2026. The connection began when Brother Pete met Pastor Daniel at Kigali Airport, opening the way for fellowship and cooperation with Gospel workers in the region. The Lord also brought Brother Benedict Baraka into the work, a brother with a deep passion for Gospel proclamation who has since undertaken multiple missions throughout eastern DRC, encouraging existing workers and helping establish new evangelism teams.
The work is reaching communities through street evangelism, Gospel literature distribution, public preaching and practical acts of service. Teams have ministered in places including Goma, Bukavu, Kalemie, Kichanga and surrounding areas, using French and Kiswahili Gospel literature to communicate the message of salvation. We are grateful for the brethren who are faithfully labouring in this vast nation and pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen them, provide resources and raise up many more evangelists who will proclaim Jesus Christ throughout the Democratic Republic of Congo.
